Social Justice
We are incredibly lucky to live in a city with so much organized protest and advocacy. Malkhut partners with Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ), Hearts Across Queens, and other groups to make our voices heard on issues around policing, sanctuary, racial and economic justice, and education. We generally let folks know where we're meeting via our Facebook page.
Additionally, Rabbi Goldenberg writes and teaches about the intersection of mindfulness and social justice through a weekly study at the Institute for Jewish Spirituality (IJS) and through her teachings on Shabbat.
Finally, we see Malkhut not only as a goad to increase the activism within our community but as a spiritual home and source of sustenance for activists to refuel and reflect.
